Admission Procedures to the Istana Open House on 7 May 2022

 

1. Each Istana entry ticket admits one visitor to the Labour-Day Hari Raya IOH. Children (inclusive of infants) must hold a valid ticket to be admitted.
2. Visitors must adhere to the timeslot assigned on their ticket. Re-entry is not allowed. 
3. Admission to the Istana Open House is subject to security checks. Pointed and sharp objects (e.g. knives of any size, fork, scissors), flammable items (e.g. lighter), and canned items (e.g. canned drinks) are not allowed.
4. Visitors are required to perform SafeEntry check-ins prior to entry. Visitors can check-in using the TraceTogether App on their mobile phones or the TraceTogether Token.
5. There are no storage facilities in the Istana. Security personnel reserve the right to deny entry to visitors with prohibited items.
6. Entry to the Istana grounds may be restricted due to capacity, inclement weather or other reasons.
7.

The IOH may be suspended or cancelled if there is prolonged risk of lightning. Visitors within the Istana grounds can seek shelter at the tentages set up on the Istana grounds. Please do not seek shelter under trees or canopies. Visitors may also wish to seek shelter at nearby malls.

 

 

Admission Procedures to the Istana Main Building

 

1. Each Main Building admission pass admits one visitor into the Main Building. Children (inclusive of infants) must hold a valid pass to be admitted.
2. Visitors are required to perform SafeEntry check-ins prior to entry. Visitors can check-in using the TraceTogether App on their mobile phones or the TraceTogether Token. 
3. Re-entry into the Main Building is not allowed.
4. Visitors must keep their masks on at all times in the Main Building.
5. The consumption of food and drinks is not allowed in the Main Building.
6. Visits to the Main Building should be completed during the two-hour timeslot allocated on the IOH ticket.
7. Main Building admission passes are purchased on a first-come-first-serve basis when visiting during the two-hour time slot allocated.
8. In order to meet prevailing safe management measures, the number of admission passes issued at any time-slot will be based on the capacity of the Main Building.  Istana reserves the right to deny entry or suspend the issuance of passes when the capacity is expected to be reached for the said time-slot.
9. There are no accessible restroom facilities within the Main Building.
10. Visits are kept strictly only to the first floor of the Main Building.
11. No photography is allowed within the Main Building.

 

 

Visitor Etiquette and Safe Management Measures Within Istana Grounds

 

1. Visitors who are feeling unwell on that day are strongly encouraged not to visit Istana.
2. Visitors are required to keep their masks on at all times in the Main Building and maintain good hygiene.
3. Visitors will receive a coloured wristband upon successful validation of their tickets on the day. Visitors must keep their wristbands on at all times while they are on the Istana grounds.
4. Visitors should exit the Istana grounds by the end of their allocated time slots.
5. Smoking is strictly prohibited on the Istana grounds.
6. Please keep the Istana grounds litter-free.
7. Activities such as wheeled sports (e.g. cycling, roller blading, riding PMDs) are not allowed.
8. No pets are allowed except certified guide dogs.
9. Follow all prevailing safe management measures. To ensure a pleasant and safe experience, visitors are reminded not to gather in groups of more than ten persons and to always maintain a safe distance of at least one metre from other groups of visitors.
10. Safe distancing ambassadors, staff and volunteers from the Istana and NParks will be deployed across the Istana grounds to ensure that safe management measures are adhered to.

 

 

The IOH Organising Committee reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time at their sole and absolute discretion without notice. By proceeding with the visit, the applicant and visitors agree to be bound by the updated terms. These terms and conditions and all its subsequent variations shall be subject to and governed by the laws of Singapore.

 

Applicants hereby agree that the Istana Open House Organising Committee may collect, use and disclose his or her personal data, as provided in the application form, for the purposes of: (i) facilitating the electronic-balloting process, (ii) informing the applicant in the event of a successful application, (iii) record keeping, (iv) sending notifications authorised by the Istana Open House Organising Committee to the applicant, (v) facilitating the distribution of tickets, and (vi) any other purpose reasonably related to the above.
